As a 503(c) Non-Profit Organization, the Ilion Little Theatre relies solely on the money brought in from our theatrical performances, special fundraisers, and donations from the kind, theatre-going public in the community.

After more than a century of entertaining Central New York audiences, our building has needed structural repairs, most notably, the tower and main roof and as of June 2026, the Ilion Little Theatre’s multi-stage roof project is officially complete!

Beginning back in 2023, this massive undertaking was broken down into three stages to ensure the long-term structural integrity of our beloved historic building. Thanks to this completed work, we can now look forward to many more decades of bringing live theatre and the performing arts to the Mohawk Valley without worrying about the elements.

Additionally this year, the tower foundation was structurally stabilized with necessary grading to divert water. We are now focusing on the major task of re-pointing the tower itself.

This achievement would not have been possible without the generosity of our community. Whether you donated during our fundraisers, attended our shows, or helped spread the word, your support has been the backbone of this preservation effort. We are deeply appreciated for everything you do to keep our arts culture thriving.

While our roof is secure and our tower foundation stabilized, our commitment to our historic home at 13 Remington Avenue doesn’t stop here. We will continue further preservation and maintenance efforts so that live theatre can continue to enrich our community for generations to come. Thank you once again for your unwavering support. We cannot wait to see you at our next performance!

The historical status of the Ilion Little Theatre means that any repairs to the building must be respective to the property’s historic character, adding to the complication and cost of such repairs. We rely on the proceeds from our regular season to cover production costs and the day-to-day operating expenses which leaves very little left over. We will continue to offer special fundraising activities and explore grant funding opportunities, but we need your continued generosity and support.

Adopting an Ilion Little Theatre Poster

The Ilion Little Theatre Club’s history is alive and well – right on its very walls.

Throughout the years, the Ilion Little Theatre has put on hundreds of productions, each of those productions memorialized in the form of its poster, which continue to hand on the theatre’s walls. Some of our posters date back to as early as the 1930s.

Each of these posters is framed and preserved using money from the 50/50 raffles conducted at each performance. Many posters are preserved and dedicated by anyone who would like to dedicate a piece of history to a friend or loved one.

If you are interested in adopting an Ilion Little Theatre Poster, check out our wall or poster file on your next visit to see a show.

Then, simply mail in a check for $100 (covering cost of restoration, framing and plaque creation), made out to Ilion Little Theatre at PO Box 435, Ilion, NY 13357, ATTN: Posters. Make sure to include what you would like your dedication plaque to read.

Within a short amount of time, your dedication will accompany a piece of local theatre history, adorning the walls of the theatre for all to see.
